Pastor Lyn Olson joined our staff in January 2009.  Lyn comes to us with a wealth of experience, energy, creativity and a gracious spirit. Her friendly, outgoing personality reaches out immediately to those who meet her.  Lyn gives particular oversight to leading the Welcoming Ministries, directing our follow-up with church visitors, and working with new members.  Lyn will also oversee all Fellowship and Caring Ministry programs and guide the implementation of VPC’s Caring Neighbor network.   For the past three years before Lyn came to VPC, she served as Senior Pastor at South-Broadland Presbyterian, an urban, multi-racial church of 200 members.  Lyn and husband Ron love to travel, especially to out-of-the-way places.  In her spare time, she enjoys cooking “real food”, reading, gardening, walking and meeting new people.  Ron, a recently-retired meteorologist, is looking forward to exploring the many facets of Florida weather and pursuing his avocation of learning how the stock market operates.
