Chris Romig has been the Pastor of Venice Pres byterian Church since November 20, 2003. Previously, he was Associate Pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Satellite Beach, Florida. As Senior Pastor, Chris is the primary preacher and moderates the Session of elders who are elected by the congregation to serve as the church’s leaders. In addition to his many responsibilities at VPC, Chris serves on Peace River Presbytery’s Committee on Ministry and has been involved on a national level in encouraging Presbyterian churches to embrace Purpose-Driven Ministry. Chris was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in the Maryland suburbs. He has degrees from the University of Maryland and Princeton Theological Seminary. Prior to entering the ministry, Chris worked as a free-lance musician, a church music director, and a nursing home activities coordinator. Chris and his wife, Karen, have been married for nine years and have two boys: Williams (9) and Nicholas (4). When he has time to relax, Chris enjoys reading, playing the piano, and avidly rooting for all Washington-area sports teams.
