Howard's ministry includes a broad array of pastoral duties including staff responsibilities on the Volunteer Ministries Team and the Peace and Justice Committee.  His primary ministry responsibility remains working with the Mission Committee promoting missions and equipping church members to participate in hands-on-mission opportunities locally, nationally and internationally.

Prior to moving to Venice, Howard served as Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Woodstown, NJ.  He also served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Manasquan, NJ, and Interim Executive Minister, American Baptist Churches of NJ.  He earned a BA from Judson College, Elgin, Illinois, an MDiv and DMin from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, PA.

Howard grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and was ordained in the Redford Baptist Church, Detroit.  He enjoys kayaking, biking, orchid growing, and traveling.  Howard and Gail are the parents of two grown daughters and grandparents to two granddaughters.
