GUATEMALA RELIEF FUND

In late May 2010 Guatemala’s capital was under a state of emergency and the airport closed after a nearby volcano erupted spewing black ash for miles. Within two days, Tropical Storm Agatha hit the same country with more than 20 inches of rain. Many lives have been lost, roads closed and homes destroyed. Our Mission partner Dr. Erick Estrada, reported that the clinic had been blocked. He has made a plea to local persons and organizations for basic foods and clothing for the most needs. The Mission Committee suggests that monetary donations be designated to a fund which will go directly to Dr. Estrada through our Presbytery or through the HELPS organization.
